Perception & Space
This conceptual promotional campaign is for a James Turrell exhibition titled Perception & Space, hosted by Rice University. The goal was to translate Turrell’s atmospheric and spatially immersive work into a compelling visual language that could live across public-facing environments, such as subway systems and urban signage.
The final deliverables include a series of large-format posters designed to evoke depth, isolation, and light—central to Turrell’s practice. The compositions rely on minimal color palettes, bold typographic repetition, and layered silhouettes to mimic the spatial play and experiential distortion found in his installations.
